POST CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR BOTOX / FILLER TREATMENTS
Botox | Dermal Fillers

These injectable treatments are designed to smooth wrinkles, enhance facial contours, and restore a youthful appearance. Proper post-treatment care helps ensure optimal results and minimizes side effects.

AFTER CARE REGIMEN:

MUSCLE ACTIVITY (BOTOX):

  • Try to gently exercise the treated muscles for the first hour after treatment (e.g., frowning, raising eyebrows, or squinting). This may help work the Botox into the muscles.
  • Do not worry if you forget — this will not negatively affect your results.

ACTIVITY RESTRICTIONS:

  • Avoid rubbing, massaging, or having a facial over the treated area for 24 hours.
  • Do not lie down for three hours after Botox injections.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours after treatment.
  • Avoid saunas, hot tubs, and tanning beds for at least 4 hours after treatment.

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS:

  • Mild headache may occur — Tylenol can be taken if needed.
  • Tiny bumps or marks at injection sites are normal and usually resolve within a few hours.
  • Bruising is possible, but temporary. If it occurs, it may last up to one week and can be covered with makeup.

RESULTS TIMELINE:

  • Botox: The weakening of treated muscles begins gradually 3–7 days post-treatment. The full effect is generally seen within 10–14 days.
  • If you notice uneven results or have concerns, please contact our office by day 14 for a possible touch-up.
  • Botox typically lasts approximately three months for first-time treatments; consistent maintenance may prolong results.
  • Filler: Initial redness, swelling, or bruising is normal. Full effect is typically visible within two weeks.
  • Filler results typically last 6–12 months, and in some cases, up to 24 months, depending on the product and the treatment area.

POST CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHEMICAL PEELS
Chemical Peel Face | Chemical Peel Body

Chemical peels are designed to improve skin texture, tone, and overall appearance by promoting cell turnover and collagen production. Proper aftercare ensures optimal results and minimizes the risk of irritation or complications.

AFTER CARE REGIMEN:

IMMEDIATE POST-TREATMENT:

  • Leave the peel on for 4–6 hours, then gently wash it off with warm water only.
  • For the first two days, cleanse with warm water only, twice daily, then apply moisturizer with sunscreen (at least SPF 44) as needed.

  • Apply moisturizer and sunscreen during the day.

DAY 10+:

  • Resume your normal skincare routine once all peeling has subsided.

LACK OF PEELING:

  • Some patients may not notice visible peeling.
  • No visible peeling does NOT mean the peel was unsuccessful.
  • Benefits are still occurring, including:
    • Unclogging of pores
    • Collagen stimulation
    • Increased cell turnover
    • Improved skin tone and texture
    • Reduction of fine lines, wrinkles, and dark spots

  • Avoid sweaty exercises, saunas, Jacuzzis, or steam baths until the skin is fully healed.

  • Patients with sun-sensitive skin should take extra precautions following the peel.

HEALING TIMELINE:

  • Mild redness may occur for 2–3 days.
  • Peeling usually begins 24–48 hours post-treatment and lasts 2–7 days.
  • Do NOT pick or pull peeling skin.
  • Apply a light moisturizer with sunscreen as often as needed to relieve dryness or tightness.
  • Avoid other facial treatments for at least two weeks after your peel.
