What is Laser Genesis?
This popular Cutera® system uses heat to resurface the skin. The heat generated by the laser also safely and precisely stimulates healing deep within the body. Notably, it triggers the process of collagen renewal. As the body produces more collagen, our patients notice that their signs of aging and damaged skin appear improved and revitalized overall.
What are some examples of conditions that you can treat with this laser?
Due to its unique properties and capabilities, Laser Genesis is appropriate for a wide range of aesthetic concerns. Is Laser Genesis right for everyone?
No therapy or technology is appropriate for every person with the same need or concern. However, Laser Genesis is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. Our patients with darker skin do not have to worry about undesirable after-effects, such as hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation (lingering dark and light spots) that have plagued earlier-generation lasers. Also, as a “non-wounding” (non-ablative) laser, the Genesis system presents a quick, no-downtime option to improve the skin and restore health. The total number of initial and maintenance sessions highly depends on factors such as the need or concern we are treating.
